The Ultimate DIY Spa-At-Home Facial By The World Famous Ole Henriksen Spa

Check out the step-by-step guide of the Ole Henriksen Spa’s DIY Anti-Aging Honey Complexion Treatment that will leave the skin hydrated, re-texturized, and pore refined, and their DIY Cucumber Mask that helps to combat allergies. This DIY treatment is a natural skin hydrator, soothes skin irritation, aids acne-prone skin, and reduces swelling and puffiness.

To Prep: DIY Cucumber Mask 

What You Need:

  • A Cucumber
  • Grater
  • Paper tower
  • Plate

Grab cucumber (grating releases the enzymes!) and put a paper towel on top of your plate and grate the cucumber onto plate. Once you’ve grated the cucumber, wrap like a burrito and compress (the Spa suggest applying the mask chilled for instant depuffing benefits).

Apply mask during step 5!

DIY Anti-Aging Honey Complexion Treatment

What You Need:

  • 7 tablespoons of honey
  • 4 tablespoons regular plain Greek yogurt
  • 1oz. golden flaxseed meal
  • 3 oz. almond oil
  • ½ cup oatmeal
  • ½ cup milk
  • water
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 teaspoons Lavender essential oil

Step 1: Preparing for the Treatment 

Create your Purifying Cleanser

  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 2 teaspoons of lemon juice
  • 4 tablespoon of yogurt

    Mix in a bowl, allow to sit!

Create your Retexturing Deep Cleansing Honey and Flaxseed scrub

  • 1 oz. almond oil
  • 1 oz. flaxseed meal
  • 1 tablespoon honey

    Mix in a bowl, allow to sit!

 Create your Shredded Oatmeal Honey Calmative Mask:

  • Shred oatmeal in blender (dry) and preheat stove to medium heat
  • Pour ½ cup of water and ½ cup of milk into pot, add shredded oatmeal and 1 tablespoon of honey
  • Cook for 5 – 6 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds

     Once cooked, allow it to sit and cool!

Expert Tip: You may need to add a little more water to ensure you have a nice thick paste however you do not want the consistency to be runny.

Create your Anti-aging Lavender Complexion Oil:

  • 1 oz. almond oil
  • 1 teaspoon lavender essential oil

     Mix in a small cup or bowl, allow to sit!

Step 2: Relax – Lavender Facial Compress

Fill sink 1/3 full of warm water and pour 10 drops of lavender essential oil into water, stir

Inhale the wonderful aroma to induce relaxation

Light candle and turn on music to induce a spa atmosphere

Drench terry cloth towel, lightly squeeze out excess water, and press firmly against your face, hold for 10 seconds – repeat 5 times.

Step 3: Cleanse – Honey Yogurt Purifying Cleanser

Cleanse with honey purifying cleanser, blend between your palms, and transfer to your face by using upward circular motions. Perform this for 1– 2 minutes. Rinse with lavender water from the sink.

Step 4: Exfoliate – Retexturing Deep Cleansing Honey and Flaxseed Scrub

Scrub skin with honey and flaxseed scrub, transfer to your face by using upward circular motions. Perform this for 1 – 2 minutes. Rinse with lavender water from the sink.

Expert Tip: Maximize the experience with facial massage – use your two middle fingers to gently massage the scrub into the skin, focusing on your T-Zone (forehead-nose-chin).

Step 5: Mask – Shredded Oatmeal Honey Calmative Mask

Massage a generous thick layer of plain honey all over face and neck before applying the mask

Apply Shredded Oatmeal Honey Calmative Mask, leave on 10 –15 minutes while you lay down and relax

After 15 minutes rinse off the mask with warm water!

Step 6: Moisturize– Lavender Anti-Wrinkle Complexion Oil

Place dime-sized amount into damp palms – massage into skin for 1 -2 minutes
