On The Red Carpet At The 51st NAACP Image Awards

The 51st NAACP Image Awards took place Feb. 22 at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in L.A..

Big winners of the night included Lizzo, Omari Hardwick, Angela Bassett, Anthony Anderson, Marsai Martin , Jada Pinkett Smith, Beyoncé, Lil Nas X, Michael B. Jordan Lupita Nyong’o and more. It was also a major night for fashion. Check out some of the most memorable looks from the red carpet below.
Janelle Monáe
The stylish musician, who almost always sticks to black and white ensembles, changed it up a little wearing a Balmain Spring 2020 long sleeve black and white ring cut-out bodysuit and a red and orange drape, pleated silk maxi skirt.
Cynthia Erivo
The “Harriet” actress wore a Prabal Gurung mint strapless gown with a u-neckline, layered peplum detail, and a back split. She accessorized with Robert Coin jewels and Jimmy Choo heels.
Lizzo
The Entertainer Of The Year winner popped in a colorful printed Mary Katrantzou dress and a David Webb ring.

Rihanna

The recipient of the {resident’s Award wore a purple long-sleeved indigo dress with ruffles from the Givenchy Spring 2020 Haute Couture collection, styled with custom Manolo Blahnik “Palori” sandals, a Kallati amethyst diamond ring and a selection of amethysts and diamond jewels from Chopard.

Tiffany Haddish
The “Like A Boss” actress shined in a silver Aliette look featuring a boat neck, zipper detail, peplum top and shin-skimming skirt. She accessorized with strappy embellished sandals.
Yara Shahidi
The “Grown-ish” star showed off her gorgeous gams in a Gucci Fall 2019 embellished, embroidered mini dress styled with Cartier jewelry and metallic platform sandals.
Brie Larson
The Oscar-winning actress wore an 80’s insider ensemble which included a Rodarte Spring 2020 one-shoulder gown featured a taffeta bow detail top and a tri-toned tulle layered skirt and black pearl embellished, tulle gloves.
Logan Browning
The “Dear White People” star kept it classic wearing a Prabal Gurung black strapless, pleated and lace panel gown, extra long earrings and black opera gloves.
Kiki Layne
The “Beale Street Could Talk” actress worked a sultry Oscar De La Renta Pre-Fall 2020  long sleeve black and silver beaded, see-through panel floor length dress. Irene Neuwirth jewelry finished the look.
Tracee Ellis Ross
The “Black-ish” star wore an iridescent velvet Christopher John Rogers All 2020 gown styled with Djula  jewelry and Christian Louboutin pumps.
Angela Bassett
The “Rescue 9-1-1” actress looked like a million bucks in a green Azzi & Osta dress.
