The 2018 BET Awards took over the Microsoft Theater in LA on June 24.
The BET Awards were established in 2001 by the Black Entertainment Television network to celebrate African Americans and other minorities in music, acting, sports, and other fields of entertainment over the past year.
Big winners this year included Cardi B, Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, Bruno Mars and SZA.
The night also featured some seriously memorable fashions. Check out the best dressed of the 2018 BET Awards below.
Janelle Monáe
Perfect for Pride Month, the singer, who celebrated her own coming out this year rocked a rainbow Nicolas Jebran Spring 2018 gown with the LGBT colors. This is a total shock since she is known for only black and white (with pops of red) most of the time. She completed the bold look with a fun hat and Judith Leiber bag.

The “Empire” star flaunted her toned tummy in an Alice McCall Fall 2018 gold lame pleated crop top and matching gold lame ruffle pleated floor gazing, high-waist skirt. She also added Established earrings and rings by Graziela Gems, Effy and Sara Weinstock.

The singer rocked a mini velvet blazer dress and matching belt and white caged heels.

The “A Wrinkle In Time” actress looked out of this world adorable in a Reem Acra Fall 2018 tulle layered purple crop top and light blue satin skirt which featured planet embroidered appliqués. Jennifer Meyer earrings and silver metallic sandals finished up the look.

The rapper popped in a custom Karen Sabag one-shoulder white and black polka dot gown with a ruched bodice, a waist high split and a train detail on the side. She accessorized with simple red pumps.

The young actress wore a sporty Emilio Pucci Pre-Fall 2018 outfit which includeda white denim jacket with an embroidered collar, a pink ribbed logo turtleneck and white shorts. She also added silver metallic sandals.

Looking nearly unrecognizable, the model turned personality oozed old Hollywood glamour in a rich green, skintight velvet bustier dress by Bryan Hearns and Tom Ford shoes.
