Best And Worst Dressed At The 2017 BET Awards

The 2017 BET Awards took over the Microsoft Theater in LA on June 25.

The BET Awards were established in 2001 by the Black Entertainment Television network to celebrate African Americans and other minorities in music, acting, sports, and other fields of entertainment over the past year.

Big winners this year included Remy Ma, Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, Yara Shahidi, Bruno Mars, Solange, Migos, Taraji P. Henson, Mahershala Ali, Serena Williams and Chance the Rapper among others.

The night also featured some seriously memorable fashions, some fab some drab. Check out the best and worst dressed of the 2017 BET Awards below.

Best: Yara Shahidi

The “Black-ish” star, who took home the Youngstars Award, kept it effortlessly cool on a denim Jonathan Simkhai sleeveless ruffle asymmetrical dress with frayed edges and a cut-out hem. She accessorized with fun feathers sandals by Jimmy Choo and oversized hoop earrings.

Best: Jada Pinkett Smith

The “Girls Trip” star was glitzy in a gold Alexandre Vauthier Fall 2016 Couture sequin halter dress and a matching scarf styled with Christian Louboutin pumps and an Edie Parker clutch.

Best: Gucci Mane

Perhaps insipid by his name, the rapper looked dapper in a Gucci Fall 2016 sky-blue suit embellished with a sword-through-the-heart motif and lots of blinged out jewelry.

Best: Leslie Jones

The “Ghostbusters” actress, who hosted the show, stood out in a custom green chiffon halter dress with a plunging neckline by Stello styled with Stuart Weitzman sandals.

Best: Logan Browning

The “Hit The Floor” actress, who was on hand as a presenter, wore a fun flirty feathery pink mini-dress from the Leilou By Alex Dojcinovic Spring 2017 collection paired with white Loriblu pumps.

Best: Sevyn Streeter

The singer shimmered in a semi-sheer gold embellished Yousef Al Jasmi gown that hugged her killer curves.

Best: Jhene Aiko

The “Bed Peace” musician rocked a long sleeve printed robe style dress with a belted waist by For Restless Sleepers styled with a clutch by Anndra Nenn and Schutz sandals.

Worst: Big Sean

Unfortunately Jhene’s boyfriend didn’t wow us in his sloppy dark red velvet Bally 2017 tracksuit and Gucci sneakers.

Worst: Sasha Lane

While we think she was going for edgy, the young actress looked more messy in a Proenza Schouler Fall 2017 outfit with included trash bag looking pants styled with Sergio Rossi SR1 sandals and silver python Proenza Schouler Curl clutch.

Worst: Blac Chyna

We are usually obsessed with everything Michael Costello designs but his black sheer ensemble with poofy sleeves that the TV personality wore was beyond unflattering and tacky.

Worst: Justine Skye

Beauty wise, the singer looked like a million bucks but the proportions number by The Blonds, featuring a brown bustier top and silver chainmail asymmetrical dress, would be tricky for anyone to pull off.

Worst: French Montana

The rapper should have gone back to bed instead of walking the red carpet in a red satin Gucci Spring 2017 robe with embroideries of Asian motifs and Donald Duck.
